Among the latest arrivals at Net-a-porter and My Theresa this week, we found a lot of Isabel Marant new things and so we got the idea to dedicate the whole day to her and her other half.
Isabel Marant opened her first boutique rue de Charonne, in the 11th arrondissement, near Bastille and Place d'Aligre, and the style she and her husband Jérôme Dreyfuss developed in the two last decades is the symbol of these specific place and time, which marked the beginning of the boho chic.
But both always were able to break the frontiers between the different sides of the (Parisian) city and of the (French) society and we love them for their unique sense of staying true to their beginnings and origins and convictions. They believe in craftmanship, and so do we.
Isabel's clothes remind us what we loved to wear when we were children, which was a mix of Indian fabrics, multicolored prints and ethnical inspirations.
They both managed to develop a unique warm and lightful mood you can easily feel through the emblematic fabrics, shapes and shades they use.
From the fall winter 2012 collections we can find today at Net-a-porter and My Theresa, we love this - first by Isabel Marant :
